Head of Events – The Fresh Collective

Head of Events - The Fresh Collective

The role

Working closely with the Director of Events and venue teams, you’ll lead the Events team to achieve revenue and profit targets while maintaining the high standards of service, communication and attention to detail that Fresh is known for.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of Event Managers

  • Overseeing proposals, quotes, booking confirmations, deposits, invoices and event documentation
  • Ensuring event orders and handovers are accurate, timely and detailed to support seamless operational delivery

  • Working closely with kitchen, service and venue teams to communicate event requirements, changes, risks and client expectations
  • Supporting site inspections, client meetings and event attendance where required
  • Monitoring event profitability, margins, costs and opportunities to grow revenue
  • Driving repeat business, referrals and new opportunities through proactive relationship management
  • Ensuring client feedback is followed up promptly and future opportunities are captured

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a capable events professional with strong commercial instincts, a calm leadership style and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences.

You’ll bring:

  • At least two years’ experience in a similar events leadership or management role
  • Experience within catering, hospitality groups or venue-based events, highly regarded
  • Experience selling and managing events for corporate and private clients
  • Tertiary qualifications in event management, hospitality, business or a related field, preferred
  • Proven experience managing and developing an events or client-facing team
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, margins, quoting and revenue targets
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder-management skills
  • A highly organised approach to managing multiple events, priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with event documentation and operational handovers
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, venue teams, kitchen and service departments
  • A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
  • A genuine interest in hospitality, food, events and cultural experiences
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required
